What is HICAPS?
HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service) is an electronic health claims system that allows members of Druids Friendly Society to claim automatically on-the-spot at their health service providers’ practice for any benefits that they are entitled to under their health cover.

Providers that you can currently claim through include:
Dentists, Endodontists, Dental Prosthestists, Periodontists, Prosthodontists, Paediatric Dentists, Optometrists, Optical Dispensers, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Podiatrists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians and Speech Pathologists.

Benefits of using HICAPS
By using HICAPS you will save time, as you will no longer have to lodge your claim via the post. And more importantly you will save money because members won’t be out-of-pocket during the time it takes to claim the benefit from Druids Friendly Society.

How does HICAPS work?
All you need is your Druids membership card. After the consultation your card is swiped through the HICAPS terminal, treatment details are keyed and the claim request is sent for authorisation.

Once the claim is authorised the terminals print a receipt showing the amount that Druids will pay, which the member signs confirming that the transaction is correct and keeps as a record of the claim.

The member will then only be required to pay the balance of the account.

No more paperwork or wasted time- it’s so convenient.

How do I find out if my health service provider has HICAPS?
For added convenience Druids Friendly Society members can check to see if their health service provider is connected to HICAPS or search to locate a provider with HICAPS in their area.

“Search for a Provider with HICAPS” is simple to use and allows you to select a health service provider in a given category (dentist, optometrist etc) and in a specific location.
